Details

I accept commissions to create personalized watercolor portraits of pets. You can check out all my past work in the Portfolio | Pet Portraits section.

How it works:

  1. You will share 3 or more photographs of your pet that you like, with me via email.
    • Photographs should be high resolution and show the pet's face in detail, especially the eyes.
    • We will mutually agree upon one of them for the painting.
  2. I normally paint 8 inch x 10 inch paintings on 9 in x 11 in paper. If you would like a larger size, we can discuss options.
    • I use professional grade watercolor paper and paints.
    • I will give you a time-frame for the completion of the painting, depending on other tasks I have undertaken.
  3. The fees for a single-pet painting (8" x 10") will be USD 200.
    • Shipping within the US is included.
  4. You will give your consent to the agreed upon details via email. This consent implies that you agree to the short list of Terms and Conditions listed below.
  5. I will email you an invoice for the booking fee (25% = USD 50)  with a link for payment.
  6. I will share pictures of the painting occasionally during the process to accommodate changes you may want, if possible. Please note that in watercolor media it is not easy or desirable to go over an area repeatedly like it is in acrylics or oil paintings, as it can affect the transparency of the colors.
  7. After you have seen a picture of the completed painting, I will email you an invoice for the remaining payment (75% = USD 150)
  8. I will mail the unframed, unmatted painting to you vis USPS. The painting is not matted or framed, to make it easier to ship and give you the freedom to match the mat and frame to the space where it will be displayed.

    Terms and Conditions:

    1. By commissioning a pet portrait you (the patron), permit me (the artist), to post a picture of the painting and the reference photograph on this website and share it on my social media channels (Facebook and Instagram)
    2. I will create one print of the painting for my portfolio. I may display the print if I participate in an art show.
    3. I reserve the right to create additional prints of the painting to exhibit and sell at shows.

If you have any questions or are ready to commission a portrait, start by contacting me using the Contact link at the bottom of this page.
